      Welcome to the DMHS & Roybal Library 

Library Services

 I am  Ms. Flores  the Teacher Librarian, and I am here to support you. I  can help with book recommendations, research support,  and much more. Our library offers a variety of services to support our students, staff, and parents in having a successful experience while at school. 
  • The library is open during  lunch and after school for fifteen minutes.
  • Students can print, study, research and check-out books (Max 3 books) 
  • Printing can only be done during  lunch or after school. There is no charge for printing. 
  • Students are encouraged to bring their student ID’s to check-out materials but are not required. 

   Scheduling Class Visits

If you would like to schedule a class visit, please email Ms. Flores at [email protected] to request your visit. Make sure to include the reason for visit, a first and a second option for  preferred date and time. Please  allow for 2-3 work days to receive an email confirmation.

The LAUSD Digital Databases available for this 2024-25 school year are the following:
                      Britannica Online ProQuest E Library  ProQuest Central Student GALE Databases 
LAUSD students also have access the the databases found on the  Los Angeles Public Library.

LAUSD students can now find their LAPL Student Success Card Login Information under their profile through Schoology.  They can now login to their LAPL.org account and access all the resources found on LAPL.org. These include the LAPL Databases, tutoring services,  and check-out books. ​

If the students PIN or SSC card number does not work, then they must fill out a retrieval work.  If a PENDING status message will appears  this indicates that you are in the process of getting these numbers. (It can take up to 2 weeks.)
Find out about the resources students can accesss with their Student Success Card.  This includes: access to magazines and newspapers, LAPL Databases, and much more.

   Library Expectations

  • Demonstrate S.T.E.L.L.A.R  behavior and a culture of  C.A.R.E qualities at all times when visiting the library.  
  • Food and Drinks are not allowed.
  • Technology is for academic use only. 
  • Students may check out up to three books. 
  • Student ID's expedite the check out process but are not required.​
